Overview of study: This long term study looked at thirty test subjects with various beginning hydration numbers, age, exercise levels, race, sex, and health levels. The first test was done on clean bodies. Clean bodies meaning they had consumed no prescription drugs, no supplements, and no special diets for 1 week prior to this first intake.
A long term clinical study using both M-Water and Core Water was decided on in order to truly understand the effects of using what Dr David Wheeler, the developer of M-Water products, considers the optimum hydration program. In the first M-Water study completed in December, 2004 the time frame was only thirty days and only activated water was consumed at half the subject's body weight in ounces (created by adding two teaspoons/capfuls of M-Water to a gallon of purified water). The outcome was dramatic at the time of the study, establishing M-Water as the only functional water product in the world proven scientifically with valid clinical testing to dramatically increase cellular hydration. In choosing the parameters for the long term study Dr Wheeler wanted to clarify what the benefits are from using both M-Water and Core Water, the M-Water added to clean drinking water and the Core Water taken separately right after waking up and right before going to sleep.
At the first intake a group information seminar was given to provide the subjects with the necessary information for using the M- Water products (functional M-Water and Core M-Water). At this time guidelines were given to the subjects as follows:

Hydration & Four Associated Parameters
Hydration
The focus of this Human Clinical Study involving subjects drinking M-Water is done on the basis of increasing cellular hydration and whether or not drinking M-Water can moves a subject closer to Wellness cellular hydration levels. There are four Optimal Wellness Test parameters used to determine overall hydration:
Conductance
Resistivity
Surface
Tension
Specific Gravity
This involves a proprietary mathematical formula based on the four parameters (Conductivity, Restivity, Surface Tension, and Specific Gravity) to determine whether or not a person is moving towards or is within the wellness range. The more a person is outside the range for hydration Wellness the more dehydrated they are considered to be. To measure the four components for cellular hydration computation it is vital to analyze saliva, and urine samples from the body.
The purpose of this study is evaluating M-Water's effect on cellular hydration. Over a thirty-day period there was a shift in hydration wellness for every subject in the study, regardless of whether or not they were drinking sufficient amounts of water every day prior to the study.
The foundation of evaluating the electrical properties in the Optimal Wellness Test technology is the basic formula C = R/V, which is Ohm's Law. Through the interplay of voltage with both Conductivity and Resistivity some basic knowledge about intra and extra cellular hydration can be accessed. Conductivity is related to intracellular hydration and Resistivity is related to extracellular hydration. With the fluid samples obtained from each person in the M-Water Clinical Study these parameters can be measured and evaluated.
Specific Gravity and Surface Tension pertain more to chemical content but still relate to electrical properties of the body. Surface tension is directly related to inward molecular attraction, with the obvious implication that if solids are suspended properly via molecular combinations with H20 then this means that the fluids of the body that surface will have lower surface tension. Specific gravity of any given bodily fluid reveals the content of solids in solution, with higher and higher concentrations of solids -both intra and extra cellular - raising the specific gravity number as a possible indicator of dehydration.
Conductivity
Conductivity is a measurement of the amount and quality of electrical current in the body. Salts are electrolytes and they are responsible for the electrical conduction of information in the body. Conductivity looks at the measurement of the quantity of current flow within the biological specimen and is an indicator of osmotic pressure, heat loss, and fluid balance. If the current in the body is too high or too low there will be symptoms of degeneration of the body. Osmotic pressure comes in to play also here.
Resistivity
Resistivity reflects the flow of ions across cellular membranes. The resistivity is the measurement of the relative concentrations of minerals contained within the tested sample. The slight difference in the concentration of minerals found in the plasma vs. the amount found inside the cells creates a voltage gradient called the membrane potential. Therefore, resistivity is a direct reflection of the body's ability to conduct electrical currents.
Surface Tension
The surface tension of fluids in the body can be compared through technological analysis with that of pure water. Higher surface tension implies a decreased capacity for cellular permeability for any given fluid.
Surface tension of a fluid can be defined as inward molecular attraction forces, which must be overcome to increase the surface area. Surface tension is the energy required to increase the surface area of a liquid by a unit amount.
In water the intermolecular hydrogen bonds are involved in the inward attraction forces. The surface tension of water at 20 degrees centigrade is 7.29 x 10-2 J/m2.
Specific Gravity
Mathematically specific gravity is similar to density. Specific gravity is defined as density of a substance divided by the density of water. Since the units will cancel out in any computation it simply means that the only difference between specific gravity and density is that the there are no units associated with specific gravity, as is the case with density.
With bodily fluids density is a function of the types and amounts of solids found in solution. The more there is of substances in solution that are heavier than water the higher the density will be. With dehydration, whether it is intra or extra cellular, the density of fluids will be higher because the water content goes down as the solids go up. The converse is true for increased hydration.
pH
The ph is a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions within the various body fluids. The lower the pH, the more acidic the solution; conversely, the higher the pH, the more alkaline the solution is. The ph is measured on a logarithmic scale, meaning that for each charge of one pH unit, there is a tenfold change in the concentration of H+ ions in the fluids.
The normal range for venous blood is 7.30 to 7.35. This slightly alkaline pH is due to the reservoir of bicarbonate ions in the blood that act as physiologic buffers and maintain the normal pH range. The perfect number for fasting urine and saliva is 6.4. These fluids tend to be more acid due to the removal of acid that is taking place in these body fluids.
Nitrate Numbers
Nitrates influence the electromagnetic nature of the body fluids. This number provides a measurement of the amount of energy being lost from the system. Nitrates are related to digestion, and they provide a look at the amount of available energy being produced by digestion. The chemical reaction that takes place between food and digestive enzymes is vital to Wellness. The correct balance of water, calcium, and oxygen in the body is necessary for available energy to be the result.
The nitrate particles are the result of poor digestion. For the liver to make energy the liver incites the urea cycle to occur. The body cannot use amino acids that have not been digested properly. The liver treats the nitrates as toxins because the poor digestion has rendered this byproduct unusable. This unusable material is converted into urea and stored in the body. Urea can only be stored for 72 hours before it becomes toxic, at that time the urea is broken down to urea salts of Nitrate and Ammonium Nitrogen. The Optimal Wellness Test provides an indicator for Nitrates and it number for perfect digestion is three.
Toxicity
Toxicity is an assessment of what the body is containing too much of causing a toxic relationship between the substance and the cellular body. Here we have several different mathematical representations of ammoniums, nitrates, salts, oxygen, urea s and other toxic materials that may be present in the body. Significant changes in toxicity have not been observed in studies less then three months in duration. The amount, type, and quantity of toxic substances being stored in the body plays a significant role in the length of time the toxins may take to be removed.
Conclusion
In this Human Clinical Study on M- Water and core M-Water improved intracellular cellular hydration was increased to approximately 33.5%in subjects overall. This is a marked improvement from the original Human Clinical research done for 30-days. The 30-day study showed a 22.3% in crease in intracellular hydration and was believed to be the largest improvement of intracellular hydration measured by this very experienced staff. The in depth 6-moth study indicates that intracellular hydration increased with a prolonged use of the M-Water products. The four above-mentioned parameters were used to evaluate cellular hydration in each of the subjects.
Nitrate numbers of the Optimal Wellness Test indicate a positive move in the wellness numbers of those in this study group of up to 29.2%. All subjects showed an improvement in their nitrate numbers with the most significant improvements seen in subjects with their baseline first test numbers the farthest from wellness range. This shows an improvement in the body's ability to remove urea stores before they can become nitrates and toxins. Extrapolation of data pertaining to nitrates indicates an increase in fluidity of substances in the cellular body resulting in decreased nitrate production and storage in subjects consuming M-Water at about the 4th month of consumption. The reason for this length of time of consumption being necessary for nitrate production to decrease corresponds to the increase of intracellular hydration numbers.
This study also indicates a change in the amount of toxins being stored in the intracellular body being decreased in all subjects up to 46%. A scientific measurement of toxins in the body is a new science and this is a significant improvement for these subjects. The mechanism for the removal of the toxins in the body is the movement of water as fluids throughout the body become more fluid and has a more anionic field in nature. This anionic field allows for the cationic substances to be attracted and moved out as waste products. Intracellular hydration increase with M-Water is responsible for the removal of toxins in these subjects' bodies. This decrease of toxin production and storage in subjects consuming M-Water is prevalent at about the 4th month of consumption. The reason for this length of time of consumption being necessary for toxins to decrease corresponds to the increase of intracellular hydration numbers.
The pH indicators provided within the Optimal Wellness Test indicate a positive move toward neutral pH in regards to the wellness parameter of those in this study group of up to 26.4%. This shift in pH toward a more neutral cellular chemistry may be due to the aforementioned chemical changes occurring in the reduction of nitrates and toxins. Many studies have shown the importance of maintaining neutral cellular chemistry for increasing ones ability to experience wellness. This also may be due to the special properties of M Water and Core Water in terms of electrical changes in body fluids initiated by the high level of stored energy found in both products: one possibility is that the energy stored is transferred to body fluids increasing zeta potential and therefore allowing all solids to move through and out of the body via the excrecatory functions.
In addition, the psychological intakes conducted for a base line and for each testing period indicate a pervasive improvement in mood among many subjects. In fact, right from the beginning of the 150 day study there were more significant mood changes among some of the subjects as compared to very little mood change in the original thirty day study with only M Activated Water consumed (made by adding two teaspoons/capfuls of M-Water to a gallon of clean drinking water). Some of the subjects with chronic depression and anxiety disorders remarked via the psychological intakes that they were much happier and with less depression and or anxiety. Interestingly enough, with a few of the subjects, a very low pH as measured by urine and saliva was evident in those with long term mood disorders. PH and mood seemed to change in direct relationship with some of the subjects. Over all, most of the subjects noted improvement in mood over the length of the study.
In conclusion the benefits of drinking of M-Water and Core M-Water can be seen as quickly as one month (intracellular hydration increasing) but its benefits continue to manifest in the body for at least four months where pH began to shift for all subjects as well as nitrate and toxin storage and removal take place. It is our opinion that drinking M-Water will increase your intracellular hydration while helping your body to become pH balanced and remove toxins and dangerous nitrate storages. There is no other product tested by Fenestra that has shown a combined positive shift in the direction of Wellness with the three parameters of hydration levels, pH and detoxification. The implications are profound in terms of establishing the foundation for health and anti aging when it comes to drinking a combination of M-Water and Core Water per the directions as established by the inventor of these products, Dr David Wheeler's.
