SCIENCE REPORT: (A Scientific Review of the Most Important Supplements for the Immune System)
The Immune System Report The immune system is the most important system in the body for maintaining and restoring health. Of course, all systems in the body are important; but without a healthy immune system, all the other body systems will fall apart very quickly. Mucilaginous-Poly-Saccharides (MPS) from Aloe Vera MPS is a high molecular weight complex carbohydrate that interfaces directly with the cells of the immune system to balance and bolster their biochemical activity. The higher weight MPS is called Long Chain, High Molecular Weight Carbohydrates*. Dr. Wheeler’s company provides a unique form of high molecular weight MPS from Aloe Vera in a freeze dried form called MPS-GOLD™ 100. Conclusion: Only Dr. David Wheeler’s MPS-GOLD™ 100 contains the complete range of MPS molecular weights. The alcohol precipitation product is clearly missing the upper range of molecular weights considered to be Long Chain, High Molecular Weight Carbohydrates. The whole leaf Aloe juice is totally worthless as the above chart indicates. The process of extracting MPS from Aloe Vera to make MPS-GOLD™ 100 is proprietary but is new as compared to the past extraction process involving alcohol precipitation. The new extraction process involves different steps of cold processing in order to maintain the integrity of the MPS molecule from Aloe Vera as a freeze dried powder. The new and improved MPS-GOLD™ 100 just as the previous product does contain any fillers, preservatives or other additives. With the new cold extraction process MPS-GOLD™ 100 contains an even greater range of MPS molecular weights than before. The new and improved MPS-GOLD™ 100 now contains the same complete molecular weight range of MPS as the living plant, which has never been accomplished before with an Aloe Vera supplement. Just as with the previous MPS-GOLD™ 100 Aloe Vera supplement that was manufactured with alcohol precipitation, there is still an emphasis on eliminating the mineral salts and enzymes from Aloe Vera as a part of the extraction process. Although liquid whole leaf Aloe Vera products are popular and very inexpensive to produce, the mineral and enzyme content of whole leaf Aloe Vera juice or freeze dried powder is very high. MPS-GOLD™ 100 is manufactured using only the gel that is hand filleted from the leaf and then processed with cold freeze dried extraction, which eliminates all the enzymes and mineral salts in the end product. If the enzymes and mineral salts are not removed in the extraction process, this will further cause the MPS molecule to break down into the simpler components of Mannose and Galactose that makes up the structure of the MPS molecule. In addition, many people (both holistic practicing doctors and the general public) do not realize that the enzymes and mineral salts in the whole leaf are irritating to the gut, which will further aggravate immune system health issues because the gut is lined with lymphatic tissue (which is fundamentally cells that belong to the immune system) that absorbs nutrients which can then become absorbed into the general blood circulation for the production of cellular energy and to maintain a balanced metabolism. Where as in the past Dr. Wheeler developed different grades of MPS from Aloe Vera that contained different molecular weight ranges of the MPS molecule (derived from the alcohol precipitation process), MPS-GOLD™ 100 contains all the different molecular weight ranges because of using the new cold freeze drying process to extract MPS from the Aloe Vera gel (from organically grown Aloe Vera plants). The previously used alcohol extraction process that is still used by some manufacturers in the Aloe Vera industry seems to break down the MPS molecule into it’s simpler components so that the complete range of MPS is lost (please refer to the molecular weight analysis chart in this section). Of course, as illustrated by the molecular assay chart, liquid Aloe Vera products are fundamentally worthless in terms of immune system bolstering and balancing effects. With the new cold freeze drying process to make MPS-GOLD™ 100 all the healing properties are available without the increased cost of the combining the previous MPS-GOLD™ products. Oat Beta Glucan / 1-3, 1-4 Linkage Beta glucan, like MPS from Aloe Vera, is well known as an immune system modulator, with many studies concerning studies of how it impacts different diseases as well as the functional changes in the immune system cells.
