Ramana Maharshi was born in India in 1879 and while still teenager realized enlightenment quite spontaneously one day while living at a relative’s house. He experienced the death of individual self and recognized the immortal self that was never born and never dies. He left home on day and traveled to the mountain Arunachala and never left. He recognized his Guru as the mountain he lived on, as the Immortal Lord Shiva. He never set out to start a teaching, but an Advaita Vedanta teaching grew around him based on his profound capacity to transmit silently the truth of Enlightenment to other people. Ramana Maharshi’s main theme was the question, Who Am I? This question he considered the ultimate spiritual practice that would eventually lead to the resolution of the false self and the dawning of the Universal Self that was already true but blacked by false understanding. A non mental path to discovering the reality of Who Am I? is the path presented by the Goddess of Light as the female aspect of the deity. Just as Ramana Maharshi revered the mountain he lived on as the incarnation of God as Shiva, the Oregon doctor that was chosen by the Goddess of Light is also bringing a spiritual teaching to humanity that is very similar when considering the final goal. The Goddess of Light incarnates as the Female aspect of the Deity through the Columbia Gorge and the Oregon Doctor She chose to bring Her teaching forth finds the greatest spiritual satisfaction from being in the region of the Columbia Gorge that is considered the physical body for the Goddess of Light. The means is somewhat different because in the Goddess of Light’s teachings there is no Guru but only the means to connect with Her in order to realize a complete state of Enlightenment. The Goddess of Light has brought forth Avalon Water to drink in order to allow the false sense of the "I" to drop away to reveal what was already true, the radiant Truth of the Universe that is not even one, but just the simple and clear state of Freedom. In addition the Goddess of Light has brought forth a sequence of spiritual initiation that is called The 12Keys of Avalon and a simple approach to meditation practice called the Awareness Integration Method that is always coupled to the act of drinking Avalon Water.
